We believe that bringing your yoga practice to the water unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension and promotes health. We have found the perfect paddle boarding environment for you to treat yourself and also foster a nurturing community to make the most of your date with the water.
Every SUP yoga class begins with an overview of paddle basics, including how to kneel, stand, stroke technique, turning, and what to do if you end up overboard. Immediately following, we will move to a guided expedition on the water for a fun stand up paddle board experience to get centered on the water. No paddle experience necessary, all levels welcome. Participants MUST be able to swim!
Paddle out and anchor down for a combination of flowing movements and steady postures designed to awaken your core muscles, establish trust, train balance, strengthen the body and calm the mind. A solid SUP Yoga practice includes a variety of asanas slightly modified for added stability on your deck. Built into each class is time for play to explore shapes and postures before winding down with meditative relaxation on the water and paddling back to shore. Remember, no yoga or paddle experience necessary.
